Pairing(s):Jed/Leo, Abbey/Jed/Leo | Rating: ADULT | Archived:
Summary: Why do all the slash writers seem to assume that (a.) Leo and Jed will agree to stay away from each other during the first term and that (b.) Jed is a bottom and Leo a top? I think the opposite is at least as likely in both cases, and more likely than eit

Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: YTEEN | Archived:
Summary: Ever wondered about that little space between the two doors separating Leo and Jed's offices? Yeah...me too ;-)
Notes: This is unbeta'd. I used UK spelling. This fic is nominally set in my "June 17th" universe but it isn't even remotely necessary to have read that in order to understand this .

June 17th by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: ADULT | Archived: 2003-01-04
Summary: Two powerful men, one anniversary...and the ups and downs of a love affair spanning 40 years.
Notes: 'm really absurdly proud of this story. I started becoming fascinated by the Jed/Leo relationship while writing The Friday Night Club and then this story idea popped into my head and it was one of those I just *had* to write. It was a fantastic writing experience and I'm very fond of the story so I hope you enjoy it too!

Rewards by Bonnie Cee-Bee
Pairing(s):Abbey/CJ, Jed/Leo, Abbey/Jed | Rating: YTEEN | Archived: 2003-01-17
Summary: Abby and Jed talk about undue influence.
Notes:

Old Friends by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: ADULT | Archived: 2003-02-05
Summary: Demons from Jed's childhood threaten his ability to concentrate on his job and he turns to Leo - who has his own memories of the President's past.
Notes: This story is set in my 'June 17th' universe. You can find 'June 17th' at: http://www.xanthe.org/slash/Slashother/june17.htm It isn't necessary to have read that in order to read this although some events from that fic are alluded to in this one. I'm following the chronology I established in 'June 17th' which is that Jed and Leo met on June 17th 1962 when they were both 17 and embarked on a relationship. This might not tie into dates on the show, but I'm not entirely sure that definitive dates have ever been established on the show.

In The Movies by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: YTEEN | Archived: 2003-03-30
Summary: Jed and Leo come to terms with their actions after ordering a political assassination.
Notes: This is unbeta'd. I used UK spelling. This fic is nominally set in my June 17th universe but it isn't even remotely necessary to have read that in order to understand this. This fic was written for the "5 minute fic" challenge on the Jed and Leo list although it actually took closer to half an hour Many thanks to: dot for inspiration and chat about the Posse Commitatus episode.

Leo McGarry's Famous And Yet Deadly Secret Cure for Nerves by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: ADULT | Archived: 2003-04-07
Summary: Leo has to deal with Jed's doubts as the day of the televised debate draws near.
Notes: This fic takes place immediately after the events of Debate Camp. The timeline on the show doesn't make it clear whether the events of Game On take place immediately after Debate Camp and I don't think it really matters one way or the other so in this fic they do I don't think it's all that important. This story is set in my June 17th universe which can be found at: http://www.xanthe.org/Novels/jun17thuniverse.htm

One in a Thousand by Anne
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: YTEEN | Archived: 2003-04-20
Summary: Leo finds that even having a cold can have its nicer moments.
Notes: This is for Xanthe, because I promised I would, and because her Jed/Leo rocks my world. Honourable mention to Priya as well, because she was the first writer to suck me into Jed/Leo, and because a livejournal plea a couple of months back for some Jed/Leo fluff first made me wonder if I might dare to try. Plus, 'Desecration' STILL gives me a happy. ;) To say nothing of a whole host of other stories. Kathleen too of course, for being all nice and encouraging about letting me out to play on my own. For beta'ing as well. This story is a first - my first totally solo piece and also my first attempt at anything even vaguely shipper in nature. I wrote it in about two days because if I'd spent any longer over it, I would have lost my nerve. Deep and complex it isn't, but for better or worse, here it is.

The Agrippa Story by Sonia
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: MATURE | Archived: 2003-05-02
Summary: Unbetaed nonsense. Inspired by discussion on the JedandLeo slash list about the fact that three years after his divorce Leo still wears a wedding ring. The math for the character's ages doesn't really add up so don't even try it.
Notes:

Kiss Me by Heidi
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: ADULT | Archived: 2003-05-10
Summary: Leo shuts Jed up the only way he knows how?
Notes: This came about because of a challenge from another fandom and Leo just kept saying those words over and over until I gave in and listened to what he had to say.

Only Human by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: MATURE | Archived: 2003-05-10
Summary: A health crisis for Leo causes Jed to reassess his priorities - with unforeseen and dramatic consequences.
Notes: Back in March I had a fantasy about someone finding out about Jed and Leo's relationship. It was just going to be a nice little short piece and then it grew. And grew. And grew... A couple of weeks after I started writing this fic, Priya posted a challenge to the Jed/Leo list to write a fic that included certain elements, one of which was already the main feature of this story so I tried to work the others in too. I'm not sure I *quite* manage to fulfil the terms of the challenge but I've at least mentioned all the elements she listed Those were: troop movements, the Federalist papers, someone walking into a door, someone being caught in the act (the 'act' in question not being defined!) and it being a Jed/Leo slash story.

Intoxicated by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: YTEEN | Archived: 2003-05-11
Summary: Someone's drunk...
Notes: I wrote this one for May's "warm fuzzies" challenge on the Jed/Leo list. I dunno if it works as that but it's pretty angst free at least! It's entirely unbeta'd so all mistakes, Anglicisms etc are my own.

Hour 15 by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: CHILD | Archived: 2003-06-22
Summary: "I'll sleep when he sleeps."
Notes: This is an unbeta'd, post "25" vignette. Many thanks to Anne for sending me the tape. This one is for you.

Orbit by Baked Goldfish
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: YTEEN | Archived: 2003-07-21
Summary: "You've been focusing on everything but the slow decay of this orbit."
Notes: Written for the 1000 words of angst challenge on the Jed/Leo list.

Lifeline by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: ADULT | Archived: 2003-09-05
Summary: When Leo starts behaving strangely, Jed is left to unravel a sad story that has been untold for 30 years.
Notes: This fic is set in my "June 17th" universe and events from that fic are referred to in this one, although it can easily be read as a standalone. Please note that it is slightly AU both from the real WW universe and the real world in terms of dates - US bombing raids in Vietnam had stopped in 1970 and Leo was in Vietnam a little earlier but those are the dates I started with in "June 17th" so I thought I'd continue with them.

Empty Skies Above by Viccy
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: YTEEN | Archived: 2003-09-29
Summary: Leo does his job.
Notes: This was written immediately after watching the final episode of the 4th season, '25'. Contains heavy spoilers for that episode and several before that. Consider yourselves warned. Lots of angst here. As if that wasn't clear already... Betaed by Wolfsbride.

Between Sunrises by Baked Goldfish
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: TEEN | Archived: 2003-11-09
Summary: The day Zoey comes home, some people who should talk don't, and some people who've never talked do.
Notes: Leo POV.

In the Shadow of Two Fathers by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: ADULT | Archived: 2004-01-12
Summary: Leo is forced to confront the psychological issues that the Rosslyn shooting has raised, both for himself and for Jed.
Notes: his fic takes place during and immediately after the events of Noel. One of the flashback sequences in this story takes place during events described in one of my other stories, Old Friends. You don't have to read that to understand this story though. The dates I used in this story are consistent with the June 17th universe.

Three Evenings and a Tomorrow by Penumbra
Pairing(s):Abbey/CJ, Abbey/Jed, Jed/Leo | Rating: MATURE | Archived: 2004-02-14
Summary: My jealousy is so complicated I doubt it's jealousy at all; sometimes I think it's just the love I have for both of them, deep and devout.
Notes: Follows right after my previous story "On the Importance of Proper Accessories", but it's an independent entity. For once, not inspired by anything red the First Lady wears on the show.

Crazy Old Grandfathers by E. E. Beck
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: YTEEN | Archived: 2004-02-14
Summary: They need to talk about re-election, and there's that other thing, too. Post-ep to The Stackhouse Filibuster.
Notes:

The $500,000 Kiss by Xanthe
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: TEEN | Archived: 2004-04-17
Summary: Jed's been away. Leo wants to give him a welcome home kiss. It's simple really - or is it?
Notes: This story was written for my 500,000th hit celebration page. There are several other West Wing stories on the page which can be found at: http://www.xanthe.org/site/500000/500000.htm

Notes: Set towards the middle of Season 2.

Better Angels by elicesmithus
Pairing(s):Josh/Sam, Jed/Leo | Rating: MATURE | Archived: 2005-02-22
Summary: this fic is set in the Civil War. It was inspired in part by the movie Glory. If you haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend picking it up. Fair warning, I can't write about slavery without using some brutality. This is not for the faint of heart. Also, hate to do this to ya, but I killed Abbey Bartlet. Sorry.
Notes: WIP.

A Little Touch of Leo in the Night by elicesmithus
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: MATURE | Archived: 2005-02-22

Landing by elicesmithus
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: YTEEN | Archived: 2005-02-22
Summary: just before i saw the birnam wood, i read Priya's freefall story. this is an unofficial companion. Priya, this is for you. you have no idea the escapes you and the other writers have provided. p.s. complete and utter angst alert.
Notes: spoilers:the birnam wood, any other jed/leo episode.

Wants and Needs by elicesmithus
Pairing(s):Jed/Leo | Rating: ADULT | Archived: 2005-04-12
Summary: Jed knows well the difference between the necessary and the unnecessary.
Notes: WIP.i recently read a fic called 'desecration' by priya (Woman, you have GOT to stop putting plot bunnies in my head!) i got to wondering what that scenario would look like from Jed's point of view. i haven't posted to y'all for awhile, so let me know you're out there.
